England's group-stage schedule at the 2026 World Cup is already set, but what comes next depends entirely on how the Three Lions perform.

With potential routes taking fans from the East Coast to Mexico and Canada, weather conditions could shift dramatically as Thomas Tuchel's men progress through the tournament.

Here, we take a look at what England supporters can expect based on the possible paths at the 2026 World Cup, using average temperature and rainfall data from each host city.

England 2026 World Cup Group Stage weather and temperature

England will begin the summer tournament playing Croatia at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, before heading to Gillette Stadium in Boston to face Ghana, and then closing out against Panama at the MetLife Stadium in New York City.

Dallas will be cooler than many expect, averaging 16°C with an average rainfall of five days, which should feel comfortable for many travelling fans.

Boston offers mild summer conditions, averaging 24°C with around eight days of average rainfall per month. New York is slightly warmer at 27°C, but it can be wetter, averaging the most rain of any host venue (13 days a month).

If England win their group, expect heat and humidity

Should Tuchel's side top the standings, then England will be faced with trips through Atlanta to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Mexico City to Estadio Azteca, and Miami to Hard Rock Stadium, before returning to Atlanta, and then finishing in New York for the final.

Atlanta is the hottest city that England could travel to, averaging 29°C with an average of eight rainy days. Mexico City is also warm and dry at 24°C.

Miami is set to be cooler at 16°C, but it will bring humidity and an average of seven days of rainfall, making conditions potentially the most uncomfortable despite a lower temperature.

England's second or third-place routes are much cooler

Finishing second could take England to Toronto (BMO Field), Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium) and back to the top-rated AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

Toronto is one of the coolest venues at the 2026 World Cup, averaging 16°C and eight rainy days, but it isn't going to be humid like Miami, while Los Angeles has arguably the best conditions, coming in at a mild 19°C with virtually no rainfall.

A best third-place route would include Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium) and Vancouver (BC Place). Kansas averages 28°C, while the latter provides seven days of rainfall at an average of 21°C.

Whichever path England ends up taking, supporters should prepare for all eventualities, ranging from the hot and humid to the cool and rainy, all within a couple of weeks.
