The Africa Cup of Nations is set to begin on Sunday, 21 December, and fans across the continent are eagerly awaiting the first match between Morocco and Comoros, with tickets in high demand.

For the second time in the country's history, Morocco will host the tournament, and to say they have taken their hosting duties seriously would be an understatement, with several new stadiums being rebuilt and renovated with AFCON in mind.

Below, we run through each of the nine host stadiums and the top travel tips for each one.

AFCON fans travel guide: How to get to the nine host stadiums

Adrar Stadium

The Adrar Stadium is the only AFCON 2025/26 stadium located in Agadir. The city is located in the southwest of the country and has its own international airport, which is handy for overseas visitors looking to watch AFCON matches here.

However, while the city has an airport, it doesn't have a railway station. So, in order to get to the Adrar Stadium from the centre of Agadir or the international airport, fans will need to use local buses and taxis.

The stadium can be found to the east of the city and is surrounded by the Atlas Mountains.

Stade Mohammed

The Stade Mohammed V is the only AFCON 2025/26 stadium located in Casablanca, one of the most modern cities in Morocco.

The city has its own international airport – Mohammed V International Airport – which is around a 30-minute drive away from the stadium.

In terms of getting to the stadium from the centre of Casablanca, fans can either walk (it's only 3km west of the centre) or get a train to Casa-Port and then a connecting bus.

Fez Stadium

The Fez Stadium is located in Fez, one of the lesser-known cities in Morocco. However, it isn't exactly small and does have an international airport.

The stadium is located within the Fez Sports Complex, which is around 8km away from the main Fez Railway Station. To bridge the gap between the railway station and the stadium, fans can board local buses or get a taxi.

Marrakesh Stadium

Marrakesh is one of the most popular cities in Morcco for tourists, so the transport links are generally considered some of the best in the country.

The airport in Marrakesh connects with several European countries, while it also serves domestic flights to and from Casablanca, which should help fans who have tickets for matches in both of these cities.

The Marrakesh Stadium is located outside the city itself on a road called the R9. This is around 9km away from the city centre, but there are regular buses which take fans to and from it.

Rabat Stadiums

There are four stadiums in Rabat being used for AFCON 2025/26, and all four are served by local buses and a tramway system in the capital.

To get to the city centre in Rabat, where the tramway can be boarded, fans need to head to Rabat Ville – the city's main railway station. The city is also served by an international airport.

The four Rabat-based stadiums are as follows:

  • Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium
  • Moulay Hassan Stadium
  • Rabat Olympic Stadium
  • Al Barid Stadium

IBN Batouta Stadium

The IBN Batouta Stadium is located in Tangier. The city of Tangier may not be the biggest or most popular in Morocco, but it is home to one of the biggest stadiums in Africa.

To get to the stadium, there is a local bus that departs from the centre of Tangier, which takes around 45 minutes. A quicker method is to jump in a taxi – this takes around 20 minutes.
