Manchester United will take on Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday, 21 May, and getting tickets for the match isn't the only thing that is causing stress for supporters.
With less than two weeks to go until the final, fans in Manchester and London are now scrambling to find ways to get to the Estadio San Mames, with direct flights from London and Manchester now through the roof.

Cheapest way to get to Bilbao from Manchester
For fans who want to go directly to Bilbao from Manchester on the week of the game, you are looking at upwards of £1,000 return, flying out on the Tuesday and returning on the Thursday. The cheapest direct route on those dates is via Vueling, who, as of the afternoon of Friday, 9 May, are charging £1,0002 per person.
Manchester to Santander
For fans who don't mind taking a connecting flight, the prices aren't much cheaper. There are alternative routes you can take, for example, to nearby airports such as Santander and Biarritz. Return flights to Santander from Manchester currently cost £630, but these involve a stay over in Bergamo on the way out and a quick connection in Marrakesh on the way back.
From Santander, fans will need to get either a train or a bus to Bilbao. The train takes three hours while the bus takes 90 minutes.
Manchester to Biarritz
Return flights to Biarritz from Manchester currently cost £560 but involve a connecting flight in Paris on both the way there and the way back. There are no direct trains from Biarritz to Bilbao, but there is a bus which takes around two hours.
Manchester to Bilbao day trip
One final consideration for fans in Manchester is to go on a day trip to Bilbao. These are where you fly out on the morning of the game and then come back straight after the match finishes. Manchester United's official travel partner, Sportsbreaks, are charging £899pp for their day trip, while Sport Options are providing an identical service for £735pp.

Cheapest way to get to Bilbao from London
Tottenham fans are blessed with more options when it comes to getting to Bilbao, as there are six major international airports in the capital, compared to just one in Manchester. Still, the cheapest direct route to Bilbao flying out on Tuesday, 20 May and coming back on Thursday, 22 May, is priced at £795 with Vueling from London Gatwick.
London to Santander
Bizarrely, the London to Santander route is not only more expensive than flying from Manchester to Santander but also flying direct to Bilbao.
For anyone who needs to get to Santander due to cheaper accommodation costs, it will cost you £997, and this involves flying out from London Gatwick and flying back to London Heathrow. The flight out has a connecting flight in Barcelona, and the return flight has a connecting flight in Madrid.
London to Biarritz
Return flights to Biarritz from London currently cost £276 but involve a connecting flight in Paris on both the way there and the way back. The flight back also leaves at 6.45am, so fans will need to make sure they get on the 2am bus back to Biarritz after the match to make it.
London to Bilbao day trip
At the time of writing, the only day trip operating from London to Bilbao is via Sport Options. Two flights have already sold out, but there could be more rolled out in the coming days. The cost of this day trip is £795pp.
