Arsenal supporters are planning another huge pre-match welcome for the team ahead of their final home Premier League fixture of the season against Burnley.
Fan group Red Action are encouraging supporters to recreate, and even surpass, the scenes witnessed before the Champions League semi-final victory over Atletico Madrid earlier this month.
Arsenal fans planning another huge ‘meet the bus’ event before Burnley clash
Red Action helped organise the now-famous ‘meet the bus’ display ahead of Arsenal’s decisive European clash with Atletico, where thousands of supporters packed the streets around the Emirates Stadium hours before kick-off.
The atmosphere generated outside the ground quickly became one of the defining images of the night, with flares, flags, and constant chanting greeting the Arsenal players as they arrived.
Supporters are now aiming to produce something even bigger for Monday’s clash against Burnley, with Arsenal potentially moving another step closer to a first Premier League title since 2004.
The previous event was hugely appreciated internally by the club, with Mikel Arteta later describing the scenes as “special and unique”.
“The atmosphere, our support has created the energy,” Arteta said after Arsenal’s victory over Atletico. “I never felt that in the stadium.”
So Gunners fans are urged to arrive early and line the route to the Emirates in a bid to inspire the players before another massive night in north London.
FGG says: Arsenal fans can lift the team to the title
The atmosphere before the Atletico match felt genuinely different, and that energy carried right through the night inside the Emirates.
Supporters now believe they can help create another huge occasion against Burnley, especially with the title race entering its final stages.
Many fans feel that even a small psychological boost could make a difference. If welcoming the team bus helps the players in any way, there’s every reason to try and recreate that same intensity again.
