Arsenal fans have been issued a stern warning by police that gathering at the Emirates Stadium after the Champions League final could put plans for a parade at risk.

The Gunners, who were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years earlier this season, are set to face reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final later today.

In the event of an Arsenal triumph, police have cautioned that any gathering at the stadium could disrupt preparations for a parade scheduled the following day.

Emirates celebrations could jeopardise Arsenal parade plans

Following the confirmation of Arsenal's 2025/26 Premier League title victory, thousands of fans flocked to the Emirates Stadium to celebrate, but police have warned similar celebrations after the Champions League final would potentially jeopardise parade plans.

Regardless of the result against PSG, Arsenal have planned a parade for the day after the final (Sunday, May 31), with at least 500,000 supporters expected to line the streets of North London.

The parade will begin at 2pm and is anticipated to last around two hours, with plans to run between Angel, Highbury and Islington, Holloway Road, Finsbury Park and Essex Road, while it has been confirmed that the Emirates Stadium, Drayton Park and the surrounding rounds will be closed throughout.

Metropolitan Police have already started preparing for the parade, and it is expected to be one of their biggest operations of the year, including 500 officers being deployed along the route, as well as specialist search and drone teams.

As a result of the major operation, a Met Police spokesperson said that any gathering by Arsenal supporters at the Emirates following the Champions League final could delay essential safety checks ahead of the following day's parade, which could impact such plans.

FGG Says: Arsenal fans need to wait to celebrate

Arsenal fans have already waited decades for their first Premier League title victory, while a win in the Champions League final would also represent their first-ever European trophy.

The Gunners, therefore, can surely wait just one more day to celebrate their stunning season in full force, otherwise they risk ruining the planned parade and ending the campaign on a slightly sour note.
