Barcelona fans could return to the Camp Nou next week as LaLiga giants plan special reopening event

Barcelona are preparing for a potential early return to the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou, with club officials considering an open training session for members next week.

The event, still awaiting final approval, would mark the first time fans step inside the remodelled stadium, and according to MARCA, the plan is for an exclusive session where season ticket holders can watch the team train.

This will see the fans experience the upgraded facilities before the official reopening, while also serving as a test run for the club’s return home fixture, and the tentative date being discussed is Friday, November 7, two days before Barcelona host Celta Vigo.

However, nothing has been finalised yet, but the club hopes to use the opportunity to reconnect fans with the team and generate excitement ahead of the full reopening.

Phase 1B progress and expected capacity

Barcelona obtained the first occupancy licence for Phase 1A on October 17, allowing limited access to certain parts of the stadium.

However, the club has decided to wait until Phase 1B approval before hosting matches at Camp Nou.

Under the current restrictions, only the Tribuna and Gol sections can accommodate spectators, capping attendance at around 27,000.

The next phase will expand that figure to approximately 45,000, bringing the stadium closer to about half the operational capacity.

Barcelona target game against Athletic Bilbao for Camp Nou re-opening

The official reopening is expected to coincide with Barcelona’s LaLiga clash against Athletic Bilbao on November 22, the first home game after the international break.

Reports say the club views this as the perfect opportunity to celebrate their symbolic return home, against one of the league’s top sides.

FGG Says

Barcelona’s phased return to Camp Nou feels like a moment of rebirth. An open training session is a gesture of gratitude to fans who have waited patiently during the redevelopment.

With the stadium gradually regaining its grandeur, this soft reopening allows supporters to reconnect emotionally before the big night.
