Barcelona have reportedly reached a key milestone in their stadium renovations works ahead of the summer.
The Spanish giants returned to their iconic Camp Nou home near the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign following a two-year absence.
Barca are undergoing an ambitious renovation of the ground that will eventually bring the capacity to over 100,000 supporters.
As a result, it has been suggested that Camp Nou could host the World Cup final in 2030 – a tournament co-hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
On the pitch at present, Barca are recovering from the heartbreak of being knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage.
Despite a 2-1 win in the second leg over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, Hansi Flick's side did not do enough to progress on aggregate.
The Catalan club are in great shape to claim the La Liga crown, though, sitting a mammoth nine points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid with seven games remaining.

Barcelona reach ‘key milestone' in Camp Nou project
According to Spanish outlet Tribuna, Barcelona have reached their latest milestone in the high-profile renovation of their famous home.
The report claims that the installation of the prefabricated stands in the third ring of the stadium has been completed.
It is understood that the next steps involve waterproofing the area over the spring before installing seats during the off-season in the summer.
Barca are supposedly hoping to open certain sections of the third ring in September, bringing the capacity up to 70,000 spectators.
By the conclusion of the calendar year, the La Liga powerhouses want to push the attendance capability up to 80,000 fans.
It is believed that the installation of a brand-new roof on Camp Nou will be completed in 2027, providing the finishing touch to the renovation works.
Barca's home advantage
The return to Camp Nou has clearly had a positive impact on the title-chasing hopes of Barcelona, who have won all 16 La Liga home fixtures so far in 2025-26.
Flick's troops are just three matches away from going invincible at the venue in the top flight, with Celta Vigo the next visitors on April 22.
The final El Clasico of the 2025-26 campaign will take place at Camp Nou on May 10, before Real Betis make the trip from Seville on May 17.
FGG says: Above and beyond
Slowly but surely, Camp Nou is getting back to its former glory, with news of the third ring opening in September.
However, there is a new level for the iconic ground to reach in 2027, when a state-of-the-art roof is scheduled to be installed.
