Boasting over 500 appearances for Celtic, Callum McGregor is undoubtedly a legend at Paradise Park and will be remembered in the history books for years to come.

The midfielder has won 12 Scottish Premiership titles, seven Scottish Cup crowns and eight Scottish League Cup trophies with the Glasgow-based outfit.

Apart from two brief loan spells at Notts County in the lower divisions of English football between 2013 and 2014, McGregor has played his club football exclusively for Celtic.

Even in the 2025-26 campaign, the veteran remains a key part of the plans at Celtic Park, starting matches regularly.

Unsurprisingly, the Celtic faithful have a chant for McGregor, who has provided over a decade of excellent service to the Scottish powerhouses.

For all the key information on the Callum McGregor chant, we have you covered below.

Callum McGregor chant, lyrics and tune

The Callum McGregor chant is sung to the tune of ‘Abba, Father' by Carey Landry, released in 1977 and produced by the Oregon Catholic Press (OCP).

Callum, Callum Mcgregor,

There's no one better,

He's like me and you,

He loves celtic too

The short chant was first uploaded to social media near the beginning of the 2017-18 campaign, when the Green Brigades decided to invent a new song for their influential midfielder.

By the end of that campaign, the Bhoys had lifted a domestic treble in Scotland, claiming their place as the best in the land once again over arch rivals Rangers.

FGG says: Subtly Celtic

With the tune for the chant coming from a Catholic hymn, Callum McGregor's song is deeply tied to the roots of Celtic Football Club.

The simplicity of the chant lends it to being sung for a sustained period of time in the stands – common practice for songs from the corner housing the Green Brigades at Celtic Park.
