Celtic have confirmed a major update regarding one of their most prominent supporter groups ahead of a key fixture.
The decision means the Green Brigade will return to Celtic Park for the first time in five months.
Celtic board lift ban against Green Brigade as update emerges
Celtic have officially lifted the suspension on the Green Brigade with immediate effect, starting from Saturday’s home match against St Mirren.
The group had originally been handed a six-game ban in November following incidents involving “violent and threatening behaviour” during a match against Falkirk.
That suspension was later extended in December due to further safety concerns.
However, progress has been made in discussions between the club, supporters and local authorities. At a recent meeting, the Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group confirmed it had no objection to lifting the ban after three key conditions were met, per the BBC.

Those conditions included adherence to club policies and season ticket terms, full compliance with stadium safety and security operations, and acceptance of ongoing monitoring through match-by-match reports.
The Green Brigade have agreed to all requirements, paving the way for their return.
Celtic will now have several home fixtures remaining this season, including matches against Falkirk, arch-rivals Rangers and title contenders Heart of Midlothian.
FGG says: A long overdue boost for Celtic fans
This feels like a practical resolution heading into the final few fixtures, rather than a dramatic turning point.
Both sides have had to compromise, with the club enforcing stricter conditions and the Green Brigade accepting greater oversight.
That balance was probably always the only way this situation was going to be resolved.
From a football perspective, having a full and vocal Celtic Park again will undoubtedly help the team during a crucial stage of the season.
