On Tuesday, 10 December, Celtic will take on Dinamo Zagreb at the Maksimir Stadium in the sixth game of their 2024/25 Champions League campaign.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have won two out of five in Europe so far this season, drawing 1-1 at home to Club Brugge in their last outing.
This is the first time the two teams have met in this competition since 1998. The Croatian side beat Celtic in the second qualifying round, winning the second leg 3-0 after a 1-0 defeat in Scotland. If you are one of the Celtic fans heading to Zagreb, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming away trip.
How many Celtic fans are going to Zagreb?
Celtic have received variable allocations for away matches in the Champions League this season. For the trip to Dortmund, 3,800 Celtic fans were in the away end, while there were 1,300 for the match against Atalanta.
For the upcoming match against Dinamo Zagreb, the Hoops have been given a generous allocation of 3,000 at the Maksimir Stadium. It is the second-largest stadium in the country, behind Stadion Poljud.
Where will Celtic fans sit at Maksimir Stadium?
Celtic fans will be located in the south stand of the Maksimir Stadium. The entrance to the away section is opposite the car park, which is signposted under ‘Arrival’ at the south end of the ground.
Dinamo Zagreb provided the following advice for away fans on matchday: “The South stand has two entrances, and the filling and emptying of the South stand occur from two positions, from Budakova Street and from Jakiceva Street, with a total of 3,931 seated places. Access to the stand is through two entrances, and all passages, staircases, and doors on the stand are painted in a bright yellow color. The South stand is usually used for visiting fans and is divided into 6 smaller, evenly spaced areas with steel fences, allowing spectators to be effectively separated from each other.”

Where to eat & drink for Celtic fans in Zagreb
Celtic announced on Friday 6 December that there will be a meeting point for Hoops supporters on matchday. This will be at the Bulldog Pub at Frane Patrice.
How to get to Maksimir Stadium: Guide for Celtic fans in Zagreb
The stadium is located opposite the largest park in Zagreb, Maksimir Park. It can be accessed by car and via public transport. For Champions League matches, it is advised by the club to take public transport, though, due to the limited availability of parking in and around the ground, as well as traffic regulations and potential road closures.
There are many ways to get near the ground via various tram routes. Trams number 4, 5, 7, 11 and 12 stop at Maksimir Road. You can also take trams number 1, 9 and 17 before stopping at Svetica. Typically, it takes around 15 minutes to get near the stadium on the tram, but it obviously depends on where you get on.
Alternatively, you can take tram 7 to Dubrava or 5 to Maksimir from the bus station, Autobusni Kolodvor. You can read further travel guidance for supporters going to the Maksimir Stadium on Dinamo Zagreb’s official website.
