We are now entering the climax of the 2025/26 Championship season, and the race for promotion has the potential to have one of the closest finishes in living memory.
It has been an entertaining season in the second tier, with surprises most weeks. Sheffield United have been the biggest talking point at the bottom of the table for much of the season, but could the Blades be about to mount a late push for the playoffs?
At the top of the table, Middlesbrough are now leading the way after a string of terrible results for Frank Lampard's Coventry City. Millwall are one place further back, but have played a game more than the top two.

Unsurprisingly, Coventry City are at the top of the attendance ranking in the Championship. There is plenty of excitement in the air in Coventry, and supporters don't want to miss out on any of the action in what could be a historic season for the club.
At the very bottom are Wrexham, with an average attendance of 10,608. The reason for this is the ongoing development at one end of the Racecourse Ground and the stadium's generally low capacity, which can hold only 13,341 fans.
Week 32 2025/26 Championship attendances
Week 32 of the Championship was an unusual one as it coincided with the fourth round of the FA Cup. As a result, only a handful of teams were in action.
The highest attendance this gameweek came from Pride Park for the match between Derby County and Swansea City. In total, 27,841 fans turned up for what turned out to be a good afternoon for the hosts, who ran out as 2-0 winners.
Championship record attendance
Unsurprisingly, the highest ever attendance at a Championship match came at a playoff final at Wembley Stadium. Back in 2014, 87,348 fans turned up at the national stadium to watch Derby County take on QPR, with Bobby Zamora famously scoring a last-minute winner for the Hoops.
