Como have confirmed that work to overhaul their stadium will begin this weekend as they prepare for their first-ever European campaign next season.
Cesc Fabregas' side are guaranteed to finish at least sixth in the Serie A this term, ensuring that European football will be brought to the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium.
However, as their home ground does not currently comply with UEFA rules, extensive renovations will be carried out to meet such requirements.

The Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium last underwent redevelopment two years ago in order to meet Serie A requirements, and further work is now needed after Como excellently secured qualification to at least the Europa League this term.
The temporary scaffold curve within one of the stadium's stands is prohibited by UEFA guidelines, and the club have received support from the city's mayor, Alessandro Rapinese, to install concrete structures in their place.
Elsewhere, the grass pitch and border between touchline and advertising boards must be widened by an extra two metres to fit UEFA's required stipulations.
Club president Mirwan Suwaso has confirmed that redevelopments will get underway in an attempt to ensure the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium is ready for the beginning of next season, with work set to start immediately after Como's clash with Parma on May 17.
FGG Says:
Como have enjoyed an excellent rise under Fabregas, climbing from Serie B into European competition, and it is only right that they compete in their first-ever European campaign at their home ground, the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium.
Hopes will be high that all the required renovations can be completed between now and the start of next season, especially with the summer break from football allowing work to be completed faster.
