New drone footage has provided Crystal Palace fans with another update on the long-awaited redevelopment of Selhurst Park.
While the most visible work currently centres around site clearance and the demolition of the six former homes behind the existing Main Stand, the footage confirms the project is now firmly underway.
The aerial update shows the cleared area where construction will eventually begin on Palace's new Main Stand, with much of the current activity focused on preparing the site ahead of the next major phase of the redevelopment.
The creator also reflects on Selhurst Park's rich history, noting it was originally designed by legendary stadium architect Archibald Leitch and has hosted numerous notable moments over the years, including Real Madrid's first match in London.
The ground has also served as a temporary home for both Charlton Athletic and Wimbledon, while more recently finding worldwide recognition as the fictional home of AFC Richmond in Ted Lasso.
Looking ahead, the new Main Stand will feature extensive glass elements inspired by the original Crystal Palace building, with the design intended to blend the club's history with a modern matchday experience.
Several supporters echoed the same sentiment, with one describing the update as “fantastic.”
