After a three-year break, Ted Lasso is finally back.
Apple TV+ has confirmed Season 4 will land in the UK on August 5th, with weekly episodes running through to October 7th.
The new chapter sees Ted (Jason Sudeikis) return to Richmond, but this time, it's to coach the club’s women’s team.
As excitement builds, one question keeps popping up: Is AFC Richmond’s stadium actually real?

The fictional home of AFC Richmond – Nelson Road Stadium – is filmed at Selhurst Park, the real‑life home of Premier League outfit Crystal Palace FC.
The ground appears throughout the series, doubling as Richmond’s matchday venue.
Within the show, Nelson Road is nicknamed ‘The Dog Track', a nod to the area’s greyhound‑racing past. The club badge even features a greyhound, tying the fictional team to the local history referenced in the script.
Interestingly, Richmond is geographically closer to Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium, but the production chose Selhurst Park for its look, atmosphere and filming practicality.
The first match shown at Nelson Road in the series was a London derby between Crystal Palace and AFC Richmond.

The show leans heavily on real West London locations, including Ted’s house, the local high street, and the beloved pub, which are all filmed in Richmond itself, adding authenticity to the series.
However, the training scenes are actually shot at the SkyEX Community Stadium in Hayes, home of Isthmian League South Central Division side Hayes & Yeading United.
In real life, you can watch the club play there for around £12, making it one of the most accessible filming locations for fans.
So while Nelson Road may be fictional, the world of Ted Lasso is very much rooted in real English football culture.
