England fans travelling to the 2026 FIFA World Cup have received a much-needed boost regarding their transport to the Three Lions' tournament opener against Croatia.
The news comes following the controversial plans for supporters to be charged over $100 (£75) to travel to World Cup matches at the MetLife Stadium in New York in the summer.

The Three Lions get their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign underway when they take on Croatia at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on June 17.
Unlike the jaw-dropping cost of transport to the MetLife Stadium, local transport authorities in Arlington have confirmed that all ticket holders attending games in the area will receive free transport to and from the stadium.
Fans will get complimentary charter buses to the AT&T Stadium, while they will also be offered a free ride back after the matches if the lines are too long for any other means of transport.
However, supporters will have to ensure they have their tickets on them at all times if they wish to make use of the free transport services on offer.
An announcement shared that the Charter Buses will be available for match ticket holders at the TRE Centreport Station, with the buses then transporting supporters to a Bus Hub just north of the stadium, where they will then be a 10-minute walk from the ground.
There will also be Dynamic Charter Buses available for match ticket holders if trains are at capacity and lines are beginning to form, with this service available to take supporters to and from the stadium and Victory and Fort Worth Central stations.
FGG Says: Finally some good news for fans
The 2026 World Cup has provided little positivity to fans so far, with match tickets reaching record-prices and even transport to and from the stadium reaching simply unbelievable prices.
However, the offer of free transport to and from the AT&T Stadium will certainly be welcome news to fans, who it should be remembered are the only reason the World Cup is as prestigious as it is.
