England will begin their UEFA Nations League B campaign against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday, 7 September. The last time the two teams met was back in 2020 – a game which England won 3-0 at Wembley Stadium.
Here is a guide to the best England pubs in Dublin for fans attending the game this weekend. However, if you are wondering where to get a beer near the ground before any event, whether a football match or a concert, check out our guide to the best pubs near the Aviva Stadium.
Which pubs can England drink at in Dublin?
Typically, away fans at the Aviva Stadium are located at the Bath Avenue Road end, which can be accessed via the Red Ticket entrance to the side of the housing estate.
When the Lionesses faced the Republic of Ireland in a qualifier for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) provided a guide for travelling supporters. They advised the following venues:
- The Bath Pub
- The Old Spot
- Ryan’s Beggars Bush
- Slattery’s
- The Bridge 1859
- Searson’s
Other England pubs in Dublin
The FSA also provided a ‘Free Lions guide to Dublin’ for England fans going to the Irish capital in 2015, which is the last time the men’s team played the Republic of Ireland away from home. Here are some of the best suggestions.
Bowes Bar
Bowes is located south of the River Liffey in the Dublin city centre. This is the place to go if you’re looking to sample a high-quality, local Guinness. The venue has been open since 1880 and is located near Trinity College.
The Old Storehouse
This is a popular destination, with multiple bars and beer gardens. Live Irish music is played in the main bar every day and at the downstairs bar on Fridays and Saturdays.
L Mulligan Grocer
If you’re not in the mood for a Guinness and fancy a craft beer, this is the place to go. There is also high-quality food on offer here, made with “as many local ingredients as possible” for fans looking for a pre-match bite to eat.
Inside the stadium
The Aviva Stadium is now completely cashless, meaning fans must carry a contactless method of payment with them if they want to buy anything while inside.
There are over 50 kiosks and bars inside the stadium for the 50,000 supporters to enjoy, including the away supporters in the Bath Avenue Road end.
