Football fans up and down the United Kingdom have been busy renewing or buying season tickets over the past couple of weeks, with an end-of-May deadline now the norm across the board.

Everton revealed earlier this week that a whopping 97% of their season ticket holders have renewed for the 2026/27 season, leaving fewer than 1,000 season tickets available to supporters on the waiting list.

Those who have renewed now have to decide whether they want to stay in their current seat at the Hill Dickinson Stadium or move elsewhere. The process for moving seats has now been confirmed, with three windows open,

Everton season ticket seat move process

The seat move process will begin on Monday, 1 June, and supporters will have until Friday, 19 June to confirm their decisions. Priority will be given to supporters who renewed their season tickets the earliest. The three move windows are as follows:

  • Priority Window 1 (Opens 1 June) – Supporters who renewed their season tickets between 10 and 22 April.
  • Priority Window 2 (Opens 8 June) – Supporters who renewed their season tickets between 23 April and 6 May.
  • Priority Window 3 (Opens 15 June) – Supporters who renewed their season tickets between 7 and 20 May.

Supporters can ‘shop around' and move seats multiple times, but once they have selected a new seat, their previous one will be made available to other season ticket holders. Whichever seat they have selected on 19 June will be the one they are given for the 2026/27 season.

Supporters who wish to remain in the same seat they had for the 2025/26 season do not need to do anything. Their seat will remain locked throughout the entire process and will not be made available to those who wish to move.

FGG says: A clear and transparent process

Believe it or not, moving seats as a season ticket holder is not always as simple as Everton are making it this summer. At other clubs, moving seats can be awkward and can often require multiple phone calls and emails to the ticket office. Fair play to Everton – hopefully this method will catch on elsewhere.
