Chelsea fans will have mild optimism as they look ahead to playing FC Copenhagen in Denmark on 6 March. While they are still favourites to win the tournament, Copenhagen will be no pushovers.
As Manchester United found out in November 2023, it won’t necessarily be an easy game, and any travelling fans can expect to see a competitive match. Here’s our complete guide for Chelsea fans in Copenhagen.
How many Chelsea fans are going to Copenhagen?
Chelsea have been allocated 2,389 tickets for the fixture at Parken Stadium, which means we can probably expect around 3,000 supporters to travel to the Danish capital.
For Chelsea fans travelling to Copenhagen, Parken's Sports Bar is normally open on matchdays, from noon until midnight. It is on Øster Alle on the corner of the B stand and the Stand.
Where do the Chelsea fans sit in Parken Stadium?
Unlike domestic games, where fans are situated in the A stand, Chelsea away fans will sit in the D stand. This was also the case when Manchester United fans travelled to Copenhagen earlier this season. Chelsea supporters will be sat in the D stand.

Copenhagen is one of Europe's more upscale cities, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t fantastic places for Chelsea fans to grab a drink or a meal.
Where to eat and drink for Chelsea fans in Copenhagen
Copenhagen, the lively capital of Denmark, is renowned not just as the birthplace of Carlsberg, but for its flat land, hotdogs, and general distrust of Swedish people. However, those who visit this charming country often find themselves facing a familiar challenge: the cost of living can be quite high.
Most of Scandinavia is fairly expensive, but Denmark will be a shock for some. Imagine an entire country that charges London prices, but that's the normal price.
Despite the high prices, the city's bars compensate with an impressive selection and inviting atmospheres. Along Vesterbrogade, you'll find an array of football-friendly pubs where fans can gather to cheer on their teams. If you're seeking culinary excellence, Copenhagen boasts Noma, a restaurant often lauded as the best in the world, though it might not offer the most casual football-watching experience. Thankfully, the city is brimming with delightful, laid-back dining options.
Denmark has also earned its reputation for delicious Danish pastries, and Juno the Bakery stands out as a must-visit spot, located just a convenient ten-minute stroll from Parken Stadium. For those with a craving for a hearty meal, Gasoline Grill is an immensely popular burger chain that originated in a petrol station; conveniently, there’s a location right next to the stadium, perfect for fans on the go.
If you want to try a more traditional Danish dish, look for one of the many Stegt flæsk (pork strips) stands around the city. A few years ago, it was voted the national dish of Denmark, and it's a uniquely Danish meal. At its core, it's a crispy bit of pork belly, with potatoes served with a parsley sauce. So, any Chelsea fans who love a bit of pie mash and liquor might find a familiar taste here.
If you’re in the mood for something familiar and quick, many Western fast-food chains are dotted around the city. Our personal recommendation is to try the Swedish chain MAX Burgers. The chain is all about making your food to order, and only using products made within the country (or Sweden). An example of this is their version of halloumi, which is called Grilloumi.

How to get to Parken Stadium: Guide for Chelsea fans in Copenhagen
Car
You can drive to Parken Stadium and park on-site, but be aware that parking spaces are limited and may need to be reserved in advance. There are also car parks and limited street parking available around Østerbro.
Train / Metro
If you are travelling to Copenhagen on game day, you will likely go through the central train station, København H. From there, take the M3 Metro line to Triangle, Poul Henningsens Plads, or Vibenhus Runddel. These stops are close to Parken Stadium. You can also access the Metro directly from Copenhagen Airport.
Alternatively, you can take the S-train to Osterport Station and walk to Parken or take one stop on the M3 Metro to Trianglen.
Airport
If you are arriving at Copenhagen Airport, you can take the S-train to Københavns H (the main train station in the city) or use the Metro. The quickest route from Copenhagen Airport to Parken Stadium is to take the Metro to Kongens Nytorv and then switch to the M3 line, stopping at Trianglen, Poul Henningsens Plads, or Vibenhus Runddel stations. From these stations, Parken is just a 10-minute walk away.
Bus
We recommend using the travel website Rejseplanen (also available as an app), Google Maps, or the Citymapper app for bus routes.
Cycle
Cycling is very popular in Copenhagen, with cycle paths available on nearly every street. You can cycle from the city’s main square, Rådhuspladsen, to Parken in approximately 12 minutes. If you do not own a bike, you can use one of the city’s many pay-and-ride bike services, such as Bolt, TIER, or Lime. Make sure to park your bike responsibly near Parken. We suggest signing up and downloading one of these apps in advance to save time.
Walk
Parken is within walking distance from the city centre. It takes about 40 minutes to walk there from Strøget, the main shopping street in Copenhagen. Walking from Norrebro in the north of the city takes around 20 minutes, while a walk from Osterbro will take a maximum of 10 minutes.
FGG says: The road to the final starts here
For Chelsea fans, Copenhagen is the first step on the quest for a European title this season. While their league season is starting to crumble, Chelsea is by far the favourite for the Conference League. As for Denmark itself, it's a fantastic place to visit, and Copenhagen is a wonderful city. So even if the football doesn't go to plan, at least it will be a great trip.
