Feyenoord fans mock City fans with chant as crowd trouble boils over

After surrendering a 3-0 lead to Feyenoord, City fans had to endure a chorus of ‘You'll never walk alone' from Feyenoord fans.

It was a night to forget for Man City fans, but Feyenoord fans saw the fun side of events in honour of their former coach, Arne Slot, who is now the Liverpool manager.

Feyenoord fans decided to dedicate a little song to his new club as they taunted City fans. The result at the Etihad Stadium was City's sixth match in a row without a win.

Feyenoord fans have the last laugh

It's hard enough watching your side give up a 3-0 home lead to a rival side; it's another thing to endure the chanting of rival fans. What makes this even more problematic for City fans, of course, is the fact that Feyenoord fans sing the iconic song of Liverpool fans. The side who, as things stand, are running away with the Premier League title race.

However, it was also a moment to honour a former manager for Feyenoord fans. Not only did they sing ‘You'll never walk alone', but the travelling fans also heard chants of ‘Arne Slot, La La La‘ throughout the game.

Sadly, it wasn't all fun and games between the two sets of fans. With City 3-0 up then, things were pretty doom and gloom in the away end. However, things changed when the side got a goal back, which led to the police blocking the two sets of fans from one another.

However, It wasn't enough as Feyenoord fans were rushing the City supporters in the Easy Stand, with items thrown across the dividing line.

Riot police were then called to action before things calmed down. The away side scored a second Feyenoord goal, quickly followed by an equaliser late on, but the Riot police were enough to stop trouble from escalating further.
