Maidenhead United have shared the first images of the potential concept designs for the new stadium that is set to replace England's oldest football ground.
The Magpies have called York Road their home since 1871, with the stadium even widely recognised as the country's oldest football ground, but the National League South side have long held ambitions to move to a new purpose-built stadium.
It was announced in December 2025 that Maidenhead United had plans to relocate to a new area of Braywick Park after positive discussions with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, and the club have now shared the first concept designs for the proposed new ground.
Maidenhead United's plans driven by community
Alongside releasing the first concept images of the newly-proposed stadium at Braywick Park, Maidenhead United have shared further details about the new ground.
The club said they have been in constant contact with the community regarding the stadium, including holding four ground design workshops based on Ground Design, Fan Experience, Enhancements to Braywick Park and Biodiversity.
Based on the feedback, Maidenhead United have also shared that the new stadium will be a 5,000-capacity ground compliant with football league regulations, featuring modern facilities for players and fans.
There has also been an emphasis on including the surrounding Braywick Park area and nature reserve, including ensuring that the stadium fully integrates into the environment via a natural aesthetic and clear design principles around biodiversity, sustainability and visual impact.
These first concept design images clearly share that intention, and the club have said that further images will be released as plans continue to develop and progress.
FGG Says: Exciting future ahead for Maidenhead United
Fans will understandably be sad to say goodbye to the historic York Road, but there will also be immense excitement to move into their new home, especially following these first released images of the proposed stadium.
The club have also gone about the move in the right way, consistently consulting with fans to ensure that the stadium is in line with the supporter's wishes as well as delivering a modern ground for the club itself.
