Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Arsenal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the final North London derby of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Ahead of the math, which will see Igor Tudor take charge of the side for the first time after being appointed on an interim basis following Thomas Frank's dismissal, Spurs have announced that a former wonderkid will be unveiled at half-time.

Who is the former wonderkid guest set to appear at the North London derby?

On the Tottenham Hotspur website, the club announced early Friday morning that former wonderkid Dele Alli will return as the special guest for Sunday's North London derby.

Alli signed for Spurs back in 2015 and went on to become one of the club's most popular players in the modern era during his seven years at Tottenham Hotspur, before eventually departing to Everton in February 2022.

The attacking midfielder scored a superb 67 goals in 269 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur across all competitions, including particularly stunning 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, which saw Alli win multiple individual awards.

Alli was voted PFA Young Player of the Year and named in the PFA's Team of the Year in both 2015/16 and 2016/17, while he also won Match of the Day's 2015/16 Goal of the Season thanks to his stunning turn and volley against Crystal Palace.

Alli's often phenomenal and often breath-taking performances in his early years at the club quickly earned him an iconic chant from the Spurs faithful, with the “we've got Dele, Dele Alli…” song actually the first to be sung at the new stadium ahead of the opening night against Crystal Palace back in April 2019.

FGG says: Alli has struggled since leaving, but he is understandably a Spurs favourite

It is no shock to hear that Alli has struggled both on and off the pitch since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in 2022, with rather unsuccessful spells at Everton, Besiktas and Como, and the midfielder is actually without a club at this current moment.

However, it should not be forgotten just how impactful Alli was during his time at Tottenham Hotspur, especially in the first years directly after making the major step up from MK Dons in 2015.

Now set to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Alli is certain to receive an exceptional reception from the Spurs fans, and that is more than deserving after the fantastic few years he had during a successful and loved period at the club.
