Wrexham AFC's Kop Stand redevelopment is continuing to move forward, with crews preparing for another major roof-truss lift at the Racecourse Ground.

The latest update captures the preparations just hours before Wrexham host Burnley at the stadium.

Kop Stand redevelopment continues despite Wrexham matchday

Drone footage filmed early on Tuesday, September 8th shows cranes and construction crews already in position at the Racecourse Ground around 7:15am as preparations began for a major lift.

An ‘end piece' of the new Kop Stand had been moved into position late on Monday night and was being prepared to be lifted into its permanent location.

Conditions appeared ideal for the operation, with clear weather and little to no wind giving the construction team a welcome break after a difficult previous night.

The timing makes the update particularly interesting, with the Red Dragons due to welcome Burnley to the Racecourse Ground later on Tuesday evening.

Construction work therefore continues alongside the club's matchday operations as the new Kop gradually takes shape.

The latest lift will add another major section to the developing roof structure, with the stand's large-scale steelwork increasingly visible around the stadium.

FGG says: A great sight for Wrexham supporters

Another roof section going into position is a great sight for Wrexham supporters, particularly with the work continuing around actual matchdays.

The scale of the new Kop is becoming increasingly obvious as more of the steelwork is connected.

Seeing a major lift taking place on the same day as Wrexham face Burnley makes this an especially good snapshot of the redevelopment.
