Aston Villa's ambitious Villa Park redevelopment continues to gather pace, with the latest drone footage revealing further structural progress on the North Stand expansion.
This update highlights developments across the stand, including extension beams, stairwells and the construction of the new terracing.
North Stand extension structure becoming clearer in latest Villa Park footage
The latest footage filmed by CC Overview on 4th November shows significant progress with the installation of extension beams, giving a clearer indication of how the expanded North Stand is taking shape.
A distinction is visible between the orange temporary support structures and the permanent white sections of the stand. The temporary components are expected to be removed once the permanent structure becomes self-supporting.
There has also been further development around the lift shafts and stairwell areas, with several additional sections installed since recent updates.
Work on the terraces is progressing through a combination of traditional concrete shuttering and pre-cast concrete sections, which are being lifted directly into position.
The footage also provides a better perspective of the scale of the redevelopment at the bottom of the stand, with the extension expected to follow a similar scale towards the top.
Construction activity remains subject to matchday requirements, with work having to stop several hours before kick-off to allow Villa Park to operate safely for supporters.
FGG says: Villa Park's North Stand expansion continues to take shape
The latest footage offers another encouraging indication of progress, with the permanent structure becoming increasingly recognisable as the extension beams and terrace sections are installed.
There is still plenty of construction work ahead, but the scale of the project is becoming clearer with each update.
The redevelopment represents an important step in Aston Villa's ambitions to increase Villa Park's capacity and improve the matchday experience, while retaining the ground as the club's long-term home.
