Kop Stand update: Racecourse Ground footage shows roof progress as temporary supports come down

The Wrexham Kop Stand redevelopment has undergone another significant change, with the main roof structure now largely assembled at the Racecourse Ground.

New drone footage shows the latest roof section in place as temporary supports begin to be removed from the expanding stand.

An update from September 9th captures the successful installation of the final end section of the main roof structure, completing another major stage of the Kop redevelopment.

With the main roof skeleton now in place, construction crews have started removing the temporary mounts and supports that were used while the sections were assembled.

This latest footage gives a much clearer impression of how the finished roof will transform the appearance of the Racecourse Ground.

Work is also continuing lower down, with concrete being pumped onto the lower terrace levels as the structural work progresses.

The remaining temporary supports are expected to be removed in the coming days, while activity around the lower terrace and roof finishes is set to increase.

The scale of the change has been particularly noticeable over the last four to five days, with the roof structure rapidly altering the view of the stadium.

This is another big visual step for the Kop, and removing the temporary supports makes it much easier to see the permanent structure taking shape.

The roof has gone from a collection of sections being held in position to something that genuinely looks like part of the finished stand.

There is still plenty of work to do, particularly around the terracing and roof finishes, but the transformation is becoming increasingly obvious.
