Latest Racecourse Ground footage now captures huge Kop Stand redevelopment update

New footage from the Racecourse Ground has captured a major milestone in Wrexham's Kop Stand redevelopment.

The first section of the new roof structure is now being lifted into position, with further major installation work expected to follow.

Aerial footage filmed on September 2nd shows the first roof base section now in place at the Racecourse Ground, marking a significant step forward in the redevelopment.

The section was being held by a crane during the footage, with the latest work offering a first look at how the roof framework will begin to come together.

Much of the new terracing is already understood to be complete, while concrete work around the concourse is roughly halfway finished on that level.

The latest stage also provides an indication of what could happen next, with the construction setup suggesting a major lift could follow shortly to connect the end sections with the newly installed central roof piece.

That work could begin as soon as September 3rd, although the exact timing remains dependent on the construction schedule and site conditions.

Seeing the first roof section actually sitting above the new stand makes the Kop redevelopment feel like it is moving into a completely different phase.
