A fresh aerial look at Villa Park has revealed further progress on the North Stand redevelopment, with significant excavation now taking place beneath the structure.

The latest footage also offers a closer look at the completed areas around the Holte End and a mysterious new opening within the seating.

Key North Stand development emerges in fresh footage

The latest footage, recorded by Justin Talks Villa on September 7th, shows construction continuing at Villa Park as Aston Villa's stadium redevelopment moves forward.

The main focus is the North Stand, where substantial excavation is taking place underneath the new structure.

The work appears to include space for a dedicated home dressing room, while a potential Tunnel Club area is also being developed close to the player tunnel.

Elsewhere, the pitch remains in excellent condition with lighting equipment supporting its maintenance, while much of the new corporate seating around the Holte End is now effectively complete.

A disabled viewing platform on the left side of the Holte End remains under construction, while the generator storeroom behind the stand is also nearing completion.

The car park area has seen further work, with block paving and safety barriers now visible as the wider infrastructure around the stadium continues to take shape.

One intriguing detail is an opening that has appeared in the middle of the North Stand seating. Its purpose remains unclear, with further investigation needed to establish exactly what Aston Villa are planning for the area.

The latest update underlines how much work is happening behind the scenes even where major structural changes are not immediately obvious from the outside.

FGG says: Villa Park redevelopment is more than just increasing capacity

This is the sort of footage that shows why the Villa Park redevelopment is about more than simply increasing capacity and revenue.

The excavation underneath the North Stand and work on facilities such as the dressing rooms and potential Tunnel Club give a much better idea of what is being created inside the stadium.

There are still plenty of mysteries to solve, particularly that new opening in the seating, but the overall progress remains encouraging.
