Latest Wrexham expansion update drops with footage revealing the striking scale of new Kop Stand

Wrexham AFC's new Kop Stand is continuing to rise at the Racecourse Ground, with the latest look showing just how imposing the structure is becoming.

Concrete and terracing work remain ongoing, but the scale of the redevelopment is already starting to tower over the rest of the historic stadium.

The new footage, filmed on August 26th, shows continued work across the Kop Stand redevelopment, with concrete being pumped into different levels of the structure.

Rebar work is also continuing on the inner floor levels, while much of the lower terrace is now in place with only a small number of sections left to install.

The next major milestone could come with the installation of the large main truss.

Arch-shaped structural components are already being positioned, with the truss expected to dramatically change the appearance of the stand once it is lifted into place.

Brickwork will also add another layer of visible progress, with the construction currently appearing relatively slow compared with the scale of the eventual structure.

A wider shot from the latest update, however, provides perhaps the clearest indication yet of how much the new Kop will dwarf the existing Racecourse Ground infrastructure.

The Kop is now starting to dominate the Racecourse, and that should only become more apparent once the main truss is installed.

While there are still plenty of smaller construction jobs to complete, the sheer size of the new stand is becoming increasingly difficult to miss.

For Wrexham supporters, the wait is clearly starting to feel worthwhile as the club's ambitious new home takes shape.
