Cardiff City Stadium is set to break new ground this summer by welcoming a major international sporting event for the very first time.
What new event is being hosted at the Cardiff City Stadium?
The League One venue will host an international rugby fixture in July when Wales face Fiji in the inaugural Nations Championship.
The match marks the first time an international rugby game has been staged at the stadium, which holds just over 33,000 supporters.
Fiji are technically the home side for the fixture, but are playing the match in Wales as part of the new global tournament format.

The Nations Championship will feature ten associated unions, alongside invitational teams Fiji and Japan, split into Northern and Southern Hemisphere groups.
Matches will be played across several months, with a Finals Weekend scheduled to take place at Twickenham in London.
Wales’ other home fixtures in the competition will be held at the Principality Stadium, but the clash with Fiji has been moved due to the venue being booked for summer concerts.
FGG says: A good income opportunity for Cardiff City
For Cardiff City, this is a smart and timely income opportunity.
Hosting a global sporting event brings additional revenue, raises the stadium’s profile and reinforces its versatility, all while the club pushes for promotion from League One.
