Luton Town supporters have been handed another exciting glimpse into the future of the club, with fresh footage showing major progress at their Power Court stadium development.

After years of delays, planning discussions and site preparation, the project is now beginning to look far more real.

Two large cranes arrive to begin Power Court stadium construction

New drone footage from the Power Court site shows that two of the four giant tower cranes needed for the construction of Luton Town’s new stadium have now arrived.

The cranes dominate the skyline in the latest update and represent one of the clearest signs yet that the project is moving into a new stage. Groundworks have been taking place for months, but this is the point where supporters can finally start to picture the stadium itself beginning to rise.

The footage, which has been described as “brilliant” by some Hatters fans, shows the cranes now positioned across the site, with further preparation work continuing around them ahead of vertical construction getting underway.

Power Court will become the new home of Luton Town and replace the club’s historic home at Kenilworth Road.

The new ground is set to form the centrepiece of a major regeneration scheme in the heart of Luton, with plans including new housing, commercial units and improved public spaces around the stadium.

While only two cranes have arrived so far, the remaining pair are expected to follow as work accelerates in the coming weeks.

FGG says: It has been a brilliant few days for Luton fans

Supporters were already on a high after the weekend’s success at Wembley, and now they have another reason to be excited.

For so long, Power Court has felt like an idea rather than a reality, but with cranes now on site and construction beginning to become more visible, the new stadium suddenly feels a lot closer.
