Manchester City have now shared a first glimpse at the new bar and hospitality spaces that will form part of the expanded North Stand at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League club are looking to enhance the overall matchday experience for fans attending games in that area of the ground.
What is being upgraded at the Etihad Stadium?
These upgrades are scheduled to be ready for the start of the 2026/27 season, so fans do not have long to wait.
As part of the North Stand upgrade, City have introduced two new dedicated bar and hospitality sections – the Cross Bar and City Hall.
Both spaces are designed to complement the increased capacity of the stand and will feature large TV screens, improved sound systems and self-service kiosks, just like at Wembley Stadium.

The Cross Bar, inspired by some of the club's iconic goalkeepers, will offer an informal matchday setting with drink and food packages influenced by Manchester's local culture.
City Hall, meanwhile, is more lively and will feature a DJ on matchdays, with fans receiving a welcome drink on arrival, while there is gourmet street food also available to purchase.
FGG says: Improving fan experience is a step in the right direction
City have come under fire from supporters in recent weeks, with an emphasis being put on the rising ticket costs and lack of atmosphere around the ground.
These upgrades are certainly a step in the right direction and underline the club's focus on improving the fan experience beyond just the football on the pitch.
It may not be for everyone, but modern hospitality areas, flexible social spaces and better concourse facilities reflect how elite clubs are evolving stadiums in all-day destinations.
