Manchester United supporters will soon be able to experience a brand-new matchday feature at Old Trafford as the club invests in much-needed fan facilities.
The latest addition forms part of wider efforts to improve the supporter experience while plans for a new stadium continue to gather pace.
Man Utd to introduce new fan zone behind the Stretford End
United are set to open a brand-new fan zone called ‘The Paddock' later this year, subject to planning approval.
Located just 15 metres behind the famous Stretford End, the new 1,300-capacity venue will be free to enter for all match ticket holders and will provide supporters with a dedicated space to gather before and after games.
The fan zone will offer food, drink and live entertainment, becoming the closest location to Old Trafford where fans can soak up the pre-match atmosphere.
United say the project has been developed in response to strong supporter demand, and will open in the autumn of 2026.
The Paddock also forms part of the club's new partnership with hospitality company Levy, which will introduce a range of matchday improvements across Old Trafford, including additional draught beer taps, more self-service bars and an expanded food and drink offering.
Director of Fan Engagement Rick McGagh said the latest addition reflects the club's continued investment in “the atmosphere, fan experience and facilities at Old Trafford” while plans progress for Man Utd's proposed new 100,000-seater stadium at Trafford Wharfside.
FGG says: Old Trafford is still evolving despite new stadium plans
While much of the focus remains on United's proposed new stadium, the club is continuing to invest in improving the existing Old Trafford experience in the meantime.
The Paddock is a good example of how smaller projects can make a noticeable difference to supporters on matchdays without waiting for the long-term redevelopment to be completed.
Creating dedicated fan spaces has become an increasingly popular feature at modern stadiums, helping clubs improve the atmosphere before and after matches while generating additional revenue away from the action on the pitch.
