Luton Town supporters have been given another encouraging glimpse of the club's future home, with fresh drone footage revealing visible progress at the Power Court construction site.
While much of the work remains in its early stages, one significant milestone has now been reached as parts of the stadium begin to rise above ground level.
Power Court construction now rising above the ground in latest footage
Fresh aerial footage filmed this week shows clear progress at Luton's new Power Court stadium, with the first concrete columns and structural pillars now visible across parts of the site.
The appearance of above-ground construction marks an important step in the project, with reinforced steel and rebar also now in place as work continues on the stadium's foundations.
Progress is not uniform across the entire development, however.
The section furthest from St Mary's has advanced more quickly, with fresh concrete pours taking shape, while areas closer to the road remain focused on piling works and groundwork.
The video also notes that replacement sewage infrastructure, a key element of the wider project, appears to have made little visible progress since the previous update, with pipe installation seemingly unchanged.
Looking ahead, supporters could soon see the stadium begin to transform more rapidly, with the superstructure expected to arrive later this summer. The stands are anticipated to be manufactured off-site before being lifted into position.
The footage also highlights the wider regeneration taking place around Power Court, including new residential developments, a planned hotel, music venue and a 600-seat performing arts centre, underlining the scale of the transformation planned for the area beyond the stadium itself.
FGG says: A huge milestone even if it doesn't look like much
To the casual observer, a handful of concrete columns may not seem like a major development, but reaching the point where construction starts rising above ground is a significant milestone on any stadium project.
It provides supporters with the first real sense of the venue taking shape and often signals the beginning of the more visually dramatic phases of construction.
With the superstructure expected later this summer, Luton fans should soon see Power Court begin to resemble the stadium they have been waiting so long for.
