Spanish football federation president Rafael Louzan has claimed that Spain will host the 2030 World Cup final.
The 24th edition of the greatest footballing show on Earth will be particularly special, coming a century after the first World Cup in 1930.
The competition is set to be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with the latter becoming the first-ever North African country to stage the tournament.
To mark the 100-year anniversary of the World Cup, the opening three matches will be played across 1930 hosts Uruguay, as well as Paraguay and Argentina.
After that, the footballing focus will fully turn to Spain, Portugal and Morocco as they complete hosting duties for the remainder of the tournament.

“The final will be held here” – Spanish chief makes World Cup claim
With the 2030 World Cup still over four years away, FIFA are understandably yet to announce the host city or venue of the final.
However, speaking to media at an event on Monday (January 26), the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzan, made an interesting claim regarding the destination of the final.
“Spain will lead the World Cup and the final will be held here,” RFEF chief Louzan stated on Monday afternoon via Beaumont Enterprise.
The president did not expand on that statement, meaning that the city and venue for the showpiece match is still up for debate.
Where will the 2030 World Cup final be played?
The general consensus is that Spain will host the final of the 2030 World Cup, with two stadiums standing out as top options for the honour.
Barcelona's Camp Nou will have a capacity of over 100,000 supporters in time for the tournament, making the ground a valid option.
There is also the possibility that Real Madrid's Bernabeu plays host to the World Cup final, given its recent renovation and iconic status in football.
Morocco are also carrying hopes of staging the deciding match in their proposed Hassan II Stadium, which is planned to be completed by 2028.
The venue is set to become the second-largest stadium in the world, with the ability to accomodate up to 115,000 supporters
FGG says: Spanish safety or Moroccan magic?
Either Camp Nou or the Bernabeu would be a safe and comfortable option for FIFA to select as the host stadium for the 2030 final.
However, it might be tempting to hand that honour to the proposed Hassan II Stadium and Morocco, who would make history as the first North African nation to stage the showpiece game.
