Around 93.3% of existing season-ticket holders reportedly chose not to renew for the 2026/27 campaign, with fans instead pledging to support the team exclusively when travelling away from home.
The action is aimed at club president Lotito, with supporters expressing deep frustration at the direction of the club under his ownership.
The protest has already included demonstrations and a silent action inside the stadium, underlining the strength of feeling among sections of the Lazio fanbase.
There are also obvious financial implications for the club, with dramatically reduced attendances threatening matchday income at a time when filling the stadium would normally provide an important revenue stream.
