Sunderland supporters have already started getting into the spirit of their historic return to Europe with a new chant aimed at their upcoming trip to Italy.
The song celebrates the Mackems' journey to the San Siro while, naturally, finding room for a dig at Newcastle United.

The new ‘Mackems in Milan' chant was debuted by the Black Cats' away support during the first half of their draw to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.
It looks ahead to the club's eagerly anticipated Europa League trip to face AC Milan at the San Siro.
The song is sung to the tune of the American folk song “She'll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain” and contains a clear reference to the Magpies' previous European trip to the Italian city.
“There’ll be no Geordie b****rds in Milan, there’ll be no Geordie b****rds in Milan, no Geordie b****rds, no Geordie b****rds, in Milan.”
The trip will be particularly significant for Sunderland supporters, as it represents their first European away game in more than 50 years.
Sunderland secured their return to European football after finishing seventh in the Premier League, with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea sealing their place in the 2026/27 Europa League.
It is the Black Cats' first European campaign since 1973/74, when they competed in the European Cup Winners' Cup.
The San Siro trip therefore gives supporters the chance to combine a major European occasion with the club's long-running rivalry with Newcastle.
