Swindon Town fans are set to gain greater insight into the future of their beloved County Ground after the club confirmed plans to publish board meeting minutes, a move that marks a major step towards transparency between the club, its supporters, and trustees.
Since purchasing the stadium in March 2023, Swindon Town, the Supporters’ Trust, and the trustees of Nigel Eady have met regularly to discuss stadium redevelopment and management.
Following months of discussion, the Trust has now agreed to make meeting minutes publicly available, according to Gazette and Herald, offering fans a clearer understanding of decisions made about their home ground.
Club set to improve transparency and communication
In an email to members, TrustSTFC said: “We are pleased that the JV has agreed to publish its board minutes on both the Club and Trust websites. A library of all minutes since the stadium was acquired will be uploaded.”
The announcement means fans will soon be able to track progress and discussions shaping the future of the Nigel Eady County Ground.
Swindon owner Clem Morfuni, who attended the November 5 meeting where the decision was finalised, has been in the UK overseeing club operations before returning to Australia.

Redevelopment plans take shape
During the same meeting, the Trust presented its strategy for gaining approval of the stadium redevelopment proposal.
Discussions will continue with Swindon Borough Council on November 11, focusing on progress and the council’s potential buyback option due in March 2024.
A new vote on redevelopment is expected next spring, requiring more than 75% approval and at least 50% voter turnout among Trust members.
The updated designs are likely to mirror previous plans but with more emphasis on demonstrating the long-term benefits for fans and the community.
FGG Says
Swindon’s decision to publish meeting minutes is a commendable example of fan engagement done right. It not only fosters trust but also gives supporters a genuine seat at the table in shaping their club’s future.
With redevelopment plans edging closer, clear communication and collaboration between the club, Trust, and council could finally deliver the County Ground upgrade fans have long waited for.
