We’re firmly into the business end of the football season across Europe, and while the action on the pitch has delivered drama in abundance, the stands across the continent have once again stolen plenty of the spotlight.
From emotional tributes to defiant comebacks and thunderous home support, tifos continue to define the atmosphere on Europe’s biggest nights across the Champions League and Europa League.
Following some standout displays earlier in the week, here are three more of the best tifos from across Europe.
Sporting CP – “My Life Is You”

Sporting CP fans delivered one of the most emotionally charged displays of the week ahead of their second leg clash with Bodo/Glimt.
A banner reading “A minha vida es tu!” (“My life is you”) stretched across the stands at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, setting the tone for a remarkable night.
Backed by a relentless atmosphere, Sporting went on to produce one of the comebacks of the round, overturning a three-goal deficit in extra time in front of their own supporters.
It was a perfect example of how tifos can fuel belief, and this one played its part in a truly unforgettable turnaround.
AS Roma – The Capitoline Wolf
At the Stadio Olimpico, Roma fans delivered a visually striking and deeply symbolic tifo ahead of their all-Italian clash with Serie A rivals Bologna in the Europa League
The Curva Sud was awash with the club’s iconic colours, crowned by the Capitoline Wolf – an enduring symbol of Rome’s heritage.
As the display unfolded, the entire stadium joined in an a cappella rendition of the club anthem, creating a spine-tingling moment before kick-off.
Despite the passion and spectacle in the stands, Roma’s European journey came to a painful end, as they were knocked out on aggregate after extra time.
SC Freiburg – A Red and White Statement
Over in Germany, Freiburg fans kept things classic and simple, but no less powerful ahead of their clash with Belgian side Genk at the Europa-Park Stadion.
A sea of red and white flags filled the stadium, forming a bold “SCF” across the stands in a unified show of support.
It was a simple but striking display, and one that perfectly matched the performance on the pitch.
Freiburg responded with authority, thrashing Genk 5-1 at home to overturn their first-leg deficit in emphatic fashion.
