Earlier this week, Chelsea faced Napoli in the UEFA Champions League on a night that saw the Blues secure their place in the Round of 16 of Europe's most elite competition.
What should have been a night of celebrations for the Chelsea fans who had made the trip over to Naples for the clash quickly turned into a night of horror, thanks to the infamous Napoli ultras.
In a video that has been circulating on social media, a group of Chelsea fans enjoying a celebratory drink in the city centre were set upon by a group of pole-wielding Napoli fans, who were seemingly out for blood.
Napoli ultras attack Chelsea fans in Naples
The video shows the Napoli ultras in question chasing a smaller group of Chelsea supporters around part of Naples with poles and other weapons.
When a couple of the Chelsea supporters run into a nearby pub for refuge, the attack doesn't stop. Instead, the group of ultras start smashing the windows and door of the pub with their poles in an attempt to get to the English fans inside.

The attack on Wednesday night wasn't even the first violent incident of the week in Naples. A day earlier, two Chelsea supporters were stabbed by Napoli ultras in an attack that could have ended far worse than it did.
One of the Chelsea fans who was attacked told The Sun:
“We were at one bar, had a couple of drinks, then decided to go to another bar. As we were walking, we turned right and then there was a group of 20 fans just shouting, asking where we were from.
“We all ran, but my mate got grabbed and started talking to them. He then got stabbed in the lower leg. He went to the hospital and then they said he should be all fine, it was scary.”
FGG says: A place that is only getting more dangerous
While football hooliganism in the United Kingdom has largely been left behind in the 1980s, there are certain overseas clubs that don't seem to know how to move on. Naples has long been considered one of the most dangerous European cities to visit for a football match and based on the evidence this week, that isn't going to change anytime soon.
