Construction at the Racecourse Ground is gathering serious pace as new footage captures another key moment in the Kop Stand rebuild.

The latest update highlights an important milestone, with visible progress that supporters have been eagerly waiting for.

Kop Stand gets second slipform concrete pour at Racecourse Ground

Work on the new Kop Stand at Wrexham has reached another important phase, with a second slipform concrete pour now completed.

The footage shows continued groundwork across the site, including pile excavation and the removal of slipform coverings, which is a moment many fans described as one of the most “dramatic” visuals of the build so far.

This stage is crucial in shaping the core structure of the stand, with the concrete framework now beginning to take clearer form as construction progresses.

Once this phase is fully complete, attention will begin to shift towards the arrival of steelwork, widely seen as the point where the new stand will truly start to rise above ground.

Backed by owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the project has become one of the most closely followed stadium developments in the UK.

Supporters have been quick to react to the latest update, with one fan saying: “What a milestone to see that slipform coming down – spectacular.”

Another added: “Removing the slipform coverings is one of the more dramatic scenes you’ve captured so far.”

FGG says: A clear milestone for Kop Stand redevelopment

This feels like a genuinely significant step in the Kop Stand redevelopment project, not just routine progress, but a moment where fans can visibly see things changing.

The removal of slipform and continued concrete work marks the transition from groundwork to something more tangible, and that shift is always key in stadium builds.

There’s still a long way to go, but the pace and clarity of progress here is encouraging.

With steelwork next on the horizon, this is the point where the project could really accelerate, and where the new Kop Stand will really start to feel real.
