YouTube star, boxer and entrepreneur KSI has confirmed he is joining the ownership group of English non-league club Dagenham & Redbridge F.C., linking up with former Premier League striker Andy Carroll in an unusual investment project.

The 32-year-old, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, revealed he has agreed a deal to become a shareholder and strategic partner at the east London club, which currently competes in the sixth tier National League South.

KSI now has a 20% stake in the club, making him another high-profile figure in the club’s ownership group as the Daggers attempt to climb back up the English football pyramid.

Partnership with former Premier League striker

KSI joins an ownership structure that already includes ex-England international Carroll, who signed for the club in 2025 while also becoming a minority shareholder.

The former Newcastle United F.C. and Liverpool F.C. striker has been playing and investing at the club as part of a broader takeover backed by international investors.

Together, the new ownership group hopes to restore the fortunes of the Daggers, who were relegated from the National League in 2025 and are now competing in the sixth tier of English football.

KSI confirms ambitious long-term vision for Dagenham & Redbridge F.C

KSI announced the move in a social media video, describing the investment as a “full circle moment” connected to his earlier FIFA gaming content.

“I’m so excited to start this journey… I hope to bring Dagenham & Redbridge back to the glory days,” he said.

The influencer also revealed his long-term dream for the club, saying: “Reaching the Premier League would be a dream… I believe it is 100% doable.”

“It will take a long time, so to the Daggers fans, please be patient,” he said. I want you to know that I am fully committed to making sure Dagenham and Redbridge is a team that everyone will know worldwide, and will be an exciting team to watch and support.”

KSI has built a massive online following since launching his YouTube career in 2009 and later branching into boxing, music and business ventures, including the hugely successful PRIME drinks brand.

Club investors believe his global profile could dramatically boost exposure and commercial opportunities for the non-league side.

FGG Says

Non-league football continues to become one of the most intriguing frontiers for celebrity investors.

With KSI’s massive digital reach and Andy Carroll’s footballing pedigree, Dagenham & Redbridge suddenly have a unique mix of entertainment power and sporting experience at ownership level.

If the model works, the Daggers could follow the blueprint of clubs like Wrexham, using global exposure, content and commercial growth to fuel a climb back up the English football pyramid.
