Brenden Aaronson may now be a player who splits opinion among Leeds supporters, but there was a time when the entire fanbase was entirely behind him.

The American signed for the club in the summer of 2022, shortly after the club were promoted to the Premier League for the first time in nearly two decades. He was brought in for around £25 million from Red Bull Salzburg and had quite the reputation.

He started his career with Leeds brilliantly, too, which saw the Leeds faithful create him a football chant that was soon ringing around Elland Road on a weekly basis.

For all the key information on the Brenden Aaronson chant, we've got you covered below.

FGG says: A round of applause for Leeds fans

Leeds fans don't always cover themselves in glory, but this chant has got to be one of the best in their songbook. The decision to use ‘American Boy' may seem obvious, yet no other club has used the tune before, and there have been several American players in the Premier League since the song came out in 2008.
