Dan Ndoye may have only signed for Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2025, but he has clearly already made an impression on the Forest faithful, as he already has his very own Nottingham Forest chant.

Ndoye signed for the Midlands club after a couple of impressive seasons for Bologna in Serie A. He was signed following the departure of Anthony Elanga, leading many to label him as the Elanga replacement on the Forest wing.

Having his own chant already has its pros and cons. On one hand, it will be a nice feeling for him to know that the fans have welcomed him with open arms; however, on the other hand, there is now more pressure on him to deliver.

For all the key information on the Dan Ndoye chant, we have you covered below.

Dan Ndoye chant, lyrics and tune

The Dan Ndoye chant is sung to the tune of ‘Starman' by David Bowie. It is the same tune used by Tottenham fans for their Pape Matar Sarr chant. The lyrics are as follows:

There's a starman running down the right,

His name is Dan Ndoye,

And he's f***ng dynamite

Dan Ndoye chant background

The Dan Ndoye chant was created shortly after he scored his first goal for Nottingham Forest on his debut against Brentford in August 2025.

As far as debuts go, things couldn't have gone much better for Ndoye, who lit the City Ground up throughout the 90 minutes as he helped his new club to a 3-1 victory.

It was no surprise, therefore, when the Nottingham Forest fans got swept up in the moment and created this chant off the cuff for their new winger.

FGG says: Will it stick?

So far, this is a football chant that has failed to take off properly at the City Ground and in Nottingham Forest away ends. While that can largely be put down to Ndoye failing to build on his brilliant debut, there is also a sense that Nottingham Forest fans perhaps went a little early in creating a chant for a player still learning his trade.
