The Estadio Olímpico Universitario might be one of the unique stadiums in the world. The structure was formed on a volcanic basis during the 1950s. The Avenida Insurgentes Sur is one of the important city avenues and one can reach the same using the avenue south. There is a decent amount of parking spot available. Since the ground is quite far away from the city centre, it is rather easy to find a spot. It is advisable to near to stadium.
By train or metro
One can also get to the stadium using public transport with Estadio Olímpico Universitario well connected through a metro or metro bus. The latter is a fixed lane system that runs through the city and connects with the Avenida Insurgentes when used with the line one. There are multiple stops available in the Condesa and Zona Rosa areas. One has to look for the Dr Galvez stop which is about 10 minutes walk away from the ground. The metro line 3 is also an option when visitors reach the stadium and one has to look for Copilco Station, which is around 25 minutes away from the ground.
The ticket prices for watching UNAM Pumas play at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario are extremely reasonable and quite easy to obtain. The matches do not sell out often and visiting supporters should have no trouble in trying to get a seat on most days even if they are not looking online in advance. One can visit the Ticketmaster sales outlets to pick up tickets for the matches. The prices will depend on the opponent and seating position. For a place behind the goal, the price would typically be around MXN 140 while the long sides tend to be a little expensive. For a place in the lower section of the long sides, fans can expect to pay around MXN 230. The prices increase to around MXN 290 when high-profile opponents are the visitors. Even the price behind the goal would increase to around MXN 180 for a high-profile game.
Cruz Azul and America
Estadio Olímpico Universitario is a relatively old place for hosting and witnessing football matches. For this reason, the facility is open for disabled spectators are not on board with the modern stadium. However, there are still special services like a dedicated access and better seating that are available for these fans.
The ground happens to be one of the top attractions in Mexico City. There is little information about the availability of stadium tours. The best way to access the ground and experience the rich heritage would be to buy tickets for matches involving UNAM Pumas.
