Lisandro Martinez is a player who divides opinion among Manchester United fans due to inconsistent performances and long injury layoffs.
However, it wasn't always this way. During his first season at the club, the fans very quickly fell in love with the player, due to his tenacious attitude and ability to get United playing from the back.
The love for Martinez was so strong that he received his very own Man Utd chant from supporters during his first few months at Old Trafford.
For all the key information on the Lisandro Martinez chant, including the lyrics and tune, we've got you covered below.
Lisandro Martinez chant, lyrics and tune
The Lisandro Martinez chant is sung to the tune of an older Manchester United chant, ‘Tiptoe, through the Kippax'. The lyrics to the Martinez chant are as follows:
Tiptoe, through the Kop End,
With a cleaver,
He's from Argentina,

The Lisandro Martinez chant is a strange one, as the lyrics don't make an awful lot of sense. It feels like whoever created it had a few buzzwords they wanted to throw into a chant, and this is how they could shoehorn it all in.
The cleaver lyric is a reference to the fact that Martinez's nickname is ‘the butcher' due to his tenacity on the pitch. Man Utd fans have always enjoyed having Argentinians in their team, even if they haven't always worked out, so it's no surprise to see a reference to Martinez's heritage in the chant, too.
As for the tiptoeing through the Kop end, well, that's anyone's guess!

FGG says: An awful sequel
The ‘tiptoe through the Kippax' football chant was an old favourite among a certain generation of Man Utd fans as a callback to the days when the Red Army would take over Maine Road for Manchester derbies. This Martinez effort, however, makes very little sense and is cringeworthy, if anything. After Martinez played his part in United's 7-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, this chant should have been shelved.
