This week Accrington Stanley have demolished the Whinney Hill Stand at the Wham Stadium. The demolition excavator has been busy at work removing the small stand that had a mixture of seating and terrace:

This is in preparation for the construction of a new 1,500 all seated covered stand, for which an artists impression can be viewed below:

It is hoped that the new stand will be open at the end of this year or very early in 2019. In addition, a new set of floodlights are going to be installed for the start of the new season. The old stand below at the Wham Stadium Accrington that has now been demolished is shown below:
