Fans react to Ashley Cole’s induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame

Ashley Cole has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. The former Arsenal and Chelsea defender becomes the 20th inductee since it was launched back in 2021. Here is the fan reaction to the news.

Arsenal and Chelsea fans react to Cole induction

Cole controversially left Arsenal to join Chelsea in 2006, which was a bitter pill for Gunners fans to swallow at the time. However, they were keen to congratulate the English left-back for his two Premier League title wins while he was at Arsenal.

@Asack_PiusGH said on X.com (formerly Twitter): “Big congratulations to former Arsenal player & key member of the invincibles, Ashley Cole, on his induction into the Premier League Hall of Fame, the highest individual honour awarded to players by the league. Generational talent of a left-back.”

@MAA_Gunner said: “Whatever you think about Ashley Cole, he’s THE best player to come out of Hale End. He’s the only player that’s come from the academy and been the best player in his position in the whole world of football. It was always him vs Roberto Carlos for who’s the best LB.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans were also happy to see Cole’s career rewarded. Cole made 229 appearances, winning both the Premier League and the Champions League. @CFCBlues_com said: “Best left-back in Premier League history.” @FrankKhalidUK said: “Ashley Cole Chelsea legend.”
