Away fans’ guide to Bodo: Key information for Man City fans

Manchester City's season is still in limbo, but with five more months of football still to be played, they can take solace that they are still in with a fighting chance in four competitions.

As far as the Champions League is concerned, Pep Guardiola's side more than likely just need four points from their final two games to book their place in the Round of 16, and first up is a trip to Norway to take on Bodo/Glimt.

The trip to Bodo will be the first for all Man City fans in attendance, as the two clubs have never met before in a competitive setting. If you are one of these City fans travelling over to Norway for the match, then our guide below has all the information you need to know to ensure the trip is an enjoyable one.

How many Man City fans are going to Bodo?

Man City have an allocation of just 404 tickets for the match against Bodo/Glimt. The match is being played at the Aspmyra Stadion, one of the smallest stadiums in the Champions League, with an overall capacity of just 8,270.

Due to the small allocation, there is a chance that some Man City fans will travel over to Norway without tickets. However, the anticipated temperatures of around -15°C are likely to put a lot of people off making the trip.

Where will Man City fans sit at the Aspmyra Stadion

Man City fans are being placed in Section C of the Havet-Tribunen, which is located on the left-hand side of the stand behind the south goal at the stadium. The entire away section is a safe standing area, so City fans should expect to be standing for the duration of the match.

One huge downside to the away end is that it is completely open to the elements. Given the expected cold weather, City fans should wrap up for what will undoubtedly be their coldest day out at the football this year.

  • Hundholmen Brygghus – Tollbugata 13, 8005 Bodo, Norway
  • Piccadilly Pub – Storgata 4 B, 8006 Bodo, Norway
  • Norlænningen – Storgata 16, 8006 Bodo, Norway

How to get to the Aspmyra Stadion: Guide for Man City fans in Bodo

All Man City fans staying in Bodo will soon realise they are extremely handy for the stadium, as it is located just a ten-minute walk from the main railway station in the city centre. This also makes it handy for supporters staying outside of Bodo, provided they have a direct train link to the city.

For fans who would rather get public transport to the stadium, there are four different bus routes available. The best option is to take Bus 1 as this connects with the airport and city centre, covering all bases en route to the stadium.
