Barcelona's redevelopment of Camp Nou has moved forward this month, with the club recently installing the first seats on the stadium's third tier as work progresses towards an eventual capacity of 105,000.
That progress has come despite a renovation timeline that has already slipped well beyond its original targets, with roof works and further increases to the capacity still to come before the project is fully completed.
Amid all of that, Barcelona have now added a new commercial partner to the wider Espai Barca project, with Telefonica joining the project on a five-year agreement covering connectivity services at Camp Nou.

Barcelona confirm Telefonica as new Espai Barca partner
Spanish telecommunications giant Telefonica has been unveiled as an official Espai Barca partner for the next five years, with the agreement covering a range of connectivity services at Spotify Camp Nou.
Club president Joan Laporta and Telefonica Espana chairman Borja Ochoa were both present as the deal was formally signed on Friday.
As part of the agreement, Telefonica will have its own box inside the stadium, along with a dedicated hospitality lounge carrying the company's name.
Laporta described the tie-up as bringing in a leading technology and telecommunications company that understands the scale and ambition of the Espai Barca project, with the aim of making the rebuilt Camp Nou a more connected and innovative venue for supporters and members.
Ochoa, meanwhile, pointed to the agreement as a reflection of Telefonica's long-standing commitment to Catalonia, noting that the company invested €121m in the region last year and employs more than 1,000 people locally.
The Espai Barca project stretches well beyond Camp Nou itself, having already delivered the completed Estadi Johan Cruyff, while a new Palau Blaugrana and the wider Campus Barca development are still to follow.
Camp Nou's redevelopment remains the largest part of the project, and new commercial agreements will form part of Barcelona's efforts to maximise the revenue potential of the revamped venue.
FGG says: Another piece of the puzzle falls into place
Deals of this size do not happen by chance, and bringing Telefonica on board gives Barcelona another commercial partner as the Espai Barca project moves forward.
There are still plenty of questions around the timing of the Camp Nou redevelopment, but the latest agreement adds another established company to the project as Barcelona works towards completing the stadium.
