Best England fan songs and lyrics for Euro 2024

Euro 2024 has so far been a tournament of celebration for all 24 participating teams. The scenes in Germany of fans enjoying themselves, creating wonderful atmospheres and mingling with each other has been excellent and should be the blueprint to follow for future tournaments.

England fans have had a mixed tournament both inside and outside the stadiums. Their history of violence at major tournaments proceeds them but they have been praised by local police for their good behaviour on several occasions so far.

On the other side of the coin, there have also been English arrests for offences relating to riding e-scooters under the influence and assault.

Nevertheless, the vast majority of England fans have made the most of their time in Germany and have even had time to add a few new tunes to their songbook.

Best England football songs at Euro 2024

From Frankfurt to Berlin

One of the funniest songs that England fans have come out with at Euro 2024 involves Jude Bellingham and John McGinn. Unfortunately for the Scotland midfielder, the main premise of the song is that he isn't anywhere near as good as Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham.

The song was heard more frequently during the group stages when Scotland were still competing at the tournament but has died off a little since the Tartan Army were knocked out. Regardless, it's still a song that will likely be remembered by those in Germany.

Lyrics to the tune of ‘From Paris to Berlin' –

‘From Frankfurt to Berlin,
Who the f*ck is John McGinn,
We've got Jude Bellingham,
Jude Bellingham'

Hey Jude

Given Jude Bellingham is now the golden boy of English football, it's hardly a surprise that another song about the Real Madrid midfielder has proven to be incredibly popular in Germany.

Bellingham is fortunate that his first name features in the song title of one of the most iconic British anthems of all time – Hey Jude by The Beatles. As such, that song has been adopted by England fans (and Real Madrid fans) and is now synonymous with him. It was even used by Adidas in advert in the build-up to the tournament.

Bellingham's stock only rose further after his last-minute equaliser against Slovakia so expect to hear more of this one over the next week if England remain in the competition.

Lyrics:

‘Na na na nananana, nannana, hey Jude'

Phil Foden's on fire

One of the most popular England football songs at the moment is one about Phil Foden. Despite the Man City forward playing poorly at the tournament so far, many fans believe he is still England's best player and their best hope of winning the Euros.

The song has been sung at every England match at the tournament and is certainly a catchy one.

Lyrics to the tune of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Dancing in the Dark' –

‘Can't start a fire,
Can't start a fire without a spark,
Phil Foden's on fire,
He'll be playing the Germans off the park.'
