A clip of England fans trying to get back into the Arena AufSchalke following Jude Bellingham’s 95th minute equaliser has gone viral on social media. The Three Lions looked like they were exiting the tournament at the hands of Slovakia, but Bellingham and Harry Kane salvaged the result.

‘Nightmare’ – England fans leave Slovakia game early
@AwayDays_ posted the video of England fans leaving the stadium in Gelsenkirchen on X.com. There were six minutes of additional time, and with England showing a distinct lack of creativity at 1-0 down, some supporters decided to head for the exit.
However, Bellingham’s goal sent the game to extra-time, meaning the fans who had left were seen trying to find ways to reenter the stadium in the viral clip. The captain for the video read: “These England fans trying to get back into the stadium after leaving before Jude Bellingham’s 95th minute equaliser. Nightmare.” On X, the post has already been viewed over a million times.
Switzerland next for Southgate
The 2-1 victory against Slovakia sets up a quarter-final tie against Switzerland for Gareth Southgate’s team. No doubt the level of performance will have to improve, as they were seconds from going out of the competition on Sunday evening.
The game next Saturday will take place at the Düsseldorf Arena, which has hosted three games at Euro 2024 so far. This includes Spain’s 1-0 win against Albania, which saw 46,586 supporters attend.
